Kubota Engine Identification Guide

In many cases it is necessary to identify the Kubota® Engine Number in order to ascertain the correct engine kit for an application. Starting Jun 1, 2012 the engine serial number will have 7 digits (currently 6 digits) and will be completely unique. This means that the engine serial numbers are mutally exclusive regardless of production plant. All Kubota® Engines should contain one of the two following formats for engine numbering (dependent on the production date):

The serial number is marked on the specified location per engine series as shown below.

Below exhaust manifold, over crankcase, flywheel side
Located in the mounting surface of injection pump
